BrasArte presents a dance and music performance that explores the diversity and evolution of Brazilian Samba — from its roots in the traditions of Afro-Brazilian enslaved people to the dazzling display of technique, sensuality, and power that it has become.
Under the Artistic Direction of Marcelo Chocolate & Alvaro Reys — revered Samba superstars from Rio de Janeiro — Sambrazil features admired and talented Bay Area sambistas and BrasArte Artist-in-Residence Weslei Guimaraes.
