At Night, We Go Inside to Sleep is an evening-length work inspired by stories of survival, resilience, and compassionate power found in a rural village in Nicaragua called Villa Catalina. Explorations in this highly collaborative process seek to discover the ways in which our individual lives are differentiated by who we are in the daytime, and what we can become in our dreams. Osmar Narvaez, a performance artist with the organization Teatro Catalina, will collaborate with fcdc on the creation and performance of this dance theater work, and Nicaraguan composer Andres Martinez and American composer Nicolas Lell Benavides will collaborate with fcdc in the writing of a combination of recorded and live music.
